Highlights - Petitions on the transport of live animals and animal welfare: debate: 19.04.2016 - Committee on Petitions

The Committee on Petitions will discuss a number of petitions on animal welfare in the EU. The petitions deal with, among other things, the conditions of live animal transportation, cruelty towards animals at the time of killing the routine tail-docking of piglets. The petitioners call for the enhanced protection of animals in the EU.
